COMO LLEGUE AL "FUSED GLASS"

Glass fusing is an activity that I have found when searching for stainglass works.

From my youth it was very attractive to me all glass related art.

I would look at the stained glass in churches instead of listening the the mases.

When I grew up and had possibilities I acquired glass objects for my home, particularly souvenirs and old pieces at antiquaries.

Since I spent my life working in my profession as an economist, it never occurred to me that I could ever learn how to work with glass. When I would go to "Potrerito" the place where they work the "murano" in Venezuela, it seemed magic to me to see the guys working with hot glass and a torche giving the glass different and marvellous forms.

I started to work with glass with the idea of dedicating my time to stainedglass. But somebody was giving a course in "fusion" and I got in love with it. I went to Dania to take a course with Linda Abbott. She could not teach me because she had just sold the ship. Maybe for that reason I returned and dedicated my time mostly to fusing. Also because working with stained glass caused me a great backacke.

Sin embargo volvi a Florida para tomar un curso en Hot and Wired jewelry with Linda.

I returned to Florida to take a course in "Hot and Wired" with Linda.

She has been a great inspiration to me for dedication to wok. I have learned a lot from her and I always consult with her in this long path to fusion of glass because each project is a new challenge.

Hey! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog.
Is it tough to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I'm thinking about creating my own but I'm not sure where to start. Do you have any points or suggestions? Thanks
